Opensolaris is an open source operating system based on Solaris by Sun Microsystems, which is now a part of Oracle. It is nice to see big companies offering free products for the community. This operating systems can be used by company, schools and government to save money.
Current version as of the date of this writing is 2009.06 and it will be supported by Suns up to 2012.
