ActiveSync 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 USB connection troubleshooting guide

Well I experience this before during I was using older active sync. But on 4.5 it seems trouble is gone!

Try to install ActiveSync 4.5 rather than using the fix... Well If you still want to use 4.2 or if you still have problem with 4.5 then this fix is for you. ^_^
